The Volvo XC60 has been completely redesigned for 2019 and the updated model has been well received thanks to a bold new aesthetic, enhanced technology, and more luxury features than ever before. Of course, the 2019 XC60 has added several safety features as well, and classic Volvo simplicity makes the updated design feel timeless, even with the modern touches. Tom Kelley Volvo serving the greater Fort Wayne area is proud to offer the updated Volvo XC60, and we welcome you to read on if you want to learn more about it before visiting our dealership.
The performance of the 2019 Volvo XC60 makes the luxury SUV feel properly sporty, as even the base engine is turbocharged for additional power and torque. That would be the T5, and it's turbo four-cylinder arrangement produces 250 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque to help get things up to speed. What's more, that torque kicks in at just 1,500 RPM, so Auburn, IN drivers can have the most accelerating power where you'll most often use it. And because this engine makes it power via a turbocharger rather than by simply making the engine bigger, you get excellent fuel economy as well at up to 28 mpg on the highway.
Jump up to the T6 and Huntington drivers will be adding a supercharger to the already turbocharged T5, bumping total output to 316 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. And at 27 mpg highway, fuel economy doesn't suffer much despite the added gusto.
The ultimate version of the XC60 is the T8 plug-in hybrid. At 400 horsepower and 472 pound-feet of torque this is one hybrid that won't be stuck in the right lane. And at up to 60 MPGe, Columbus City drivers will have the power to go past the pump.
There are three available trim levels for this luxury SUV, each with their own unique set of characteristics.
The Momentum trim opens the range with a power panoramic moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated seats, and both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
The R-Design takes things in a sporty direction with carbon fiber and aluminum dashboard inlays, custom alloy wheels, and an all-black interior.
At the top of the range, the Inscription trim gives New Haven, IN drivers heated and ventilated Nappa Leather seats, real wood inlays on the dash, and a surround view monitor for a full view of the world around you.
While we've already mentioned the standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, there are several additional technology features for Fort Wayne drivers to enjoy.
For added safety, the automatic emergency braking now recognizes large animals and cyclists as well as pedestrians and vehicles, and the blind spot monitor features a rear cross traffic alert to help you back out of blind parking spaces.
Meanwhile, the 12.3-inch digital driver display makes your instrument cluster a customizable panel to help you focus on the most important information as needed.
