Performance
The Volvo EX30 will be available in two powertrain configurations. Single Motor Extended Range models are propelled by a rear-wheel-driving motor (268 horsepower, 253 pound-feet of torque) that Volvo estimates can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in ~5.1 seconds. Drivers seeking a more energetic experience can select a Twin Motor Performance model with an all-wheel-driving 422 horsepower, 400 pound-feet of torque, and an estimated zero-to-60 time of just 3.4 seconds.
A 64-kWh battery pack provides a manufacturer-estimated 275 miles of range for RWD models and 265 miles with AWD. The EX30 will be compatible with 153-kW DC fast charging stations, capable of replenishing the battery from 10% to 80% in around 26 minutes.
Accommodations
The Volvo EX30 is the automaker's smallest SUV to date and starts at a surprisingly accessible value proposition. However, its diminutive exterior dimensions belie its accommodations and practicality.
