Compare Luxury SUVs in Fort Wayne - See How the Volvo XC60 Stacks Up Against the Competition

There are luxury SUVs, and then there are Volvo luxury SUVs. In a class by themselves when it comes to sophistication and craftsmanship, a Volvo crossover is always a great choice for greater Fort Wayne drivers, and nowhere is that more obvious than in the Volvo XC60 we have available at Tom Kelley Volvo Cars.

A compact SUV that seats five, the XC60 falls in the middle of the world-class Volvo SUV lineup. Larger than the subcompact XC40, but smaller than the three-row XC90, the XC60 fills a nice niche for Columbia City and Auburn, IN drivers who like the style and space of an SUV in a smaller size that's easy to park.

If you're looking for a new Volvo XC60 to upgrade your Fort Wayne and Huntington, IN drives, we can help. If you're curious about how the XC60 stacks up to similarly sized models from BMW, Audi, or Mercedes-Benz, we've got answers. Read on to learn more about our remarkable crossover and how it compares to other luxury SUVs.

Compare SUVs in Fort Wayne

The Volvo XC60, Audi Q5, BMW X3, and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class SUVs are all topnotch, five-passenger models that are a cut above other crossovers. But the Volvo offers more power, efficiency, features, and more.

The Volvo XC60 vs. the Audi Q5

  • Configuration options. The Volvo XC60 has a large assortment of options for drivers to choose from when it comes to personalizing their ride. Four trim levels are available, as well as three engines, including a cutting-edge hybrid option. The Audi Q5 also has a hybrid powertrain option, but it only has one additional engine available and just three trim levels.
  • Power output. Not only are there more options available for power with the Volvo XC60, the power these options put out is also greater than the Q5. The Audi SUV delivers either 248 horsepower from its gas-powered engine, or 349 horsepower from its hybrid option. With the XC60, however, drivers can look forward to a variety of more-powerful engines, with a 250-horsepower engine, 316-horsepower option, and the impressive hybrid, which can deliver either 400 horsepower or 415 horsepower depending on your configuration.
  • Standard and optional features. Not only does the Volvo XC60 have more standard features than the Audi Q5, including a panoramic sunroof, it also has more optional amenities available at the base model. An entry-level Volvo can be customized with available navigation, parking assistance, adaptive cruise control, and more, while these features are only available on upper Audi Q5 models.

The Volvo XC60 vs. the BMW X3

  • Standard features. The Volvo XC60 starts you off with more standard features than the BMW X3. For example, the XC60 has a standard panoramic sunroof and Android Auto smartphone integration. On the BMW, the sunroof is only optional, and the Android Auto isn't available at all.
  • Hybrid option. As mentioned, the Volvo XC60 has a variety of great powertrain options, including an efficient and impressive plug-in hybrid option. The BMW gives you a choice of two gas-powered engines, with no hybrid available in the mix.
  • Cargo and interior space. Take more of what you need with you on the road. The Volvo is more spacious inside, with more legroom, shoulder room, and cargo storage space than the BMW X3.

The Volvo XC60 vs. the Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class

  • Starting price. While both SUVs offer unparalleled levels of luxury and refinement, the Volvo XC60 does so with a starting price that's more accessible to a wider variety of new-vehicle budgets. The Volvo starts at around $40,000, while the Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class starts around $42,000.
  • Standard amenities. The Volvo XC60 starts piling on the luxury right away at the base trim, with standard leather upholstery, panoramic sunroof, satellite radio, and parking assistance. These features are all available only as options or on upper trim levels for the GLC-Class.
  • Cargo space. The Volvo XC60 delivers a useful 29.7 cubic feet cargo hold, which can be expanded by folding the backseats. The GLC-Class also has folding backseats for flexibility, but its cargo old can accommodate just 19.4 cubic feet with the seats in place, significantly less than the XC60.
